Day by day

If time were art and canvas atonement
The brush strokes are fewer and fewer

I live in the past; you live in the moment

But between us we can't find the future

I've seen the colours of a thousand painted tears
I've heard the silence from a thousand lost souls
You've got plans for a thousand years
But I'm only living day by day

At the edge of the desert we finally fall
The closing play of some masquerade
As the others looked at you in the corner I saw
A dark figure standing then fading away

I know the paint on the canvas is melting
I feel the chains now taking their toll
You've got plans for a thousand years
But I'm only living day by day

Well, I am enjoying your songs. Especially this painted one. I could see the paint dripping...
