Short dreams in classrooms, long discussions in bars;
a foretaste in the speed of souped up cars,
and amateur rockets, burning fuel stored in jars;
with no regard to failures, injuries or scars---
they leap from earth to the moon, and look at Mars;
and, from that base, design a path to the stars.
