Tethered to Gossamer

I have not yet seen, her glorious wings
unfurled,
but know I this

That she flies with grace, like no sparrow
of this earth
and her words carry me aloft, like a tiny spider
tethered to gossamer

And I am blown above the clouds

of a surreal dream,
whenever

she whispers in my ear
in the dark of the night

Like ether, she has seeped
into my soul
and made me drunk
with delight, at the thought of her

Like a stumbling fool

at a Parisian
Carnival,
drawn by the light of a Ferris Wheel

I am too drunk
and too
stupefied, to stay away

You are a worldclass poet!!!

You are a worldclass poet!!!

"her words
carry me aloft like a tiny spider
tethered to gossamer "

"like ether, she has seeped into my soul
and made me drunk with delight
at the thought of her"

love spinning itself into words

Delicious Poem

Makes me want to experience all the senses attainable at a Parisian carnival while holding the one I desire to love.
