soggy bag

You spend a lifetime, spinning your wheels
in the backwaters of the world
because of feet,
that could never carry you fast enough
from yourself

This mark I know, like the back of my hand
Though
I often pursue it, by a different end

To what end, my dear - to what end?

To this end, my dear friend
To this end

That the Chalice of Life
is given
to
the hand fools, as well
as the wise

But neither knows of what
to do with it,
but spends his given days
wondering,
why it was given at all

Like a precious jewel
placed
at the bottom
of
a soggy bag

And we spend our entire
lives
in search
of a fiber, worthy of holding it

You have reached some incredible levels of wisdom. I can't believe this: "feet, that could never carry you
fast
enough, from yourself"

How can you?

This fool has been given the Chalice, which'll take him round the world towards the end of the year... if you're not waiting for me in London I'll be sure to drop in on my way over the US... haven't forgotten about that big fat spliff you promised me! ;o) Set a date for the wedding yet? :op Hehehe... just kidding, but hey, if it does come to that, I better be invited!
