Tonight I need your sweet caress

I'll be right here, and I'll watch you rest

Tonight I'll hold you close my friend

And keep you warm and safe from the darkness



As I sat upon your bed

A thought came in inside my head

A promise I made

And it will never fade

Nor now, or forever

Bitterness cannot invade

I won't shout nor sneer

I'll just watch the sun appear
