Can't you see?

5 billion years ago there was a tremendous explosion, known as Big bang. It looked like no life was sustainable though, Earth started to bloom.  Water surrounded the entire planet, where living life was underwater. Later through years, grass and lands started to be seen. Skies were blue, and grass with a green touch. The ground trembled; it was an astonishing shake.  Mountains were created. It was amazing.

Animals interact in the vast fields that were among Earth, a true magnificent view. Impalas were eating grass; Lions were eating meat. It seemed to be a nice place to live down at Zimbabwe.   All animals share food as brothers and sisters, with no regrets. Peace ruled these lands.

One day an impala was ambulating down in the grass fields where all of his kinds were jolting around. Nothing seemed to happen down on their habitat. Peace was truly a thing. The impala was bouncing from place to place, just enjoying life, as there was no other. Some strange sounds started to come from the wild dense savannah that was near the young Impala. It was a Lion. From a hidden shelter, the Lion looked impatiently to eat the young impala.

From a far distance, a group of impalas were eating some grass. No ever had the animals experienced any kind of fear. Truly there at those fields, any animal was unaware of any threat. Slowly the Lion get through the short dried bushes, without making any brusque movements.

The sun was beginning to come down; Night was touching the gray blue sky above. Clouds began to allocate into the sky. Seemed that those happy days were over to the impala.  Since it was nearly night, the group of impalas went over to their shelters to have some rest. That young impala was left alone. Just wandering to the starts, feeling free.

“What a beautiful night with brilliant flashes over my head.”

The lion was very tolerant with his hunting. His insatiable hunger drives him crazy. He took several steps forward and surprised the impala from the back. Immediately the impala bounced over, and took a step backward as in defending himself.

“There’s no place you can go, you’re defend less.”

“Oh dear Lion, can’t you see?”

“Can’t you see the greatness of this world, all of its beauty?”

“There’s nothing beautiful about it.”

“Take a moment, look at the sky, look at the vast universe there’s above us.”

“There’s nothing much gorgeous than my food, and you’re it.”

“Ohh, can you see..? These immense grasslands. Just think. Think. Go running over all the place feeling free.”

“Now, listen to me, young impala, I’m eating you.”

“I certainly doubt it, since you’re my brother.”

“No I’m not. I’m a Lion, whom eats just meat. And guess what? You’re my dinner.”

“I mean we’re different kind of animals, though we have the same purpose.”

“And what is that, young genius.”

“We have the same purpose in life; to live every moment, every second on it.”

“I really just don’t get it, my mind aches and I feel tired. You confused me.

The young impala smiled. The lion left him, and while he was on his way home, smiled.
