I remember a time

when the words didn't rhyme

when I stared at you from afar

when I wished upon every star

I remember a million moments

and different times that I couldn't touch

I remember the disagreements, fights

arguments and such

I remember the yelling and screaming

and I remember the longing and the pain

these feelings are no longer here

but their memory remains

I remember a time where you could not understand

a secret feeling I released when I had the chance

I remember a time when I was too weak to be myself

to follow my heart

time has taught me a lesson

more then one, but in this case

time has taught me a greater lesson

to never stay in one place
