A viewpoint of a bird

===========================================================================
Written special for the good people of Syria.
==============================================================================
==============================================================================
Cage ….. Cage ….. Cage
No matter how long
You cage
All over the streets
The ways
The avenus
There will be
A tsunami of rage
and
I will never lose my identity
I will remain
a bird
-----------------
Last night
In the news
I have heard
Ba'ath Officials
hit
So many a bird
so weird ... so weird
Isn't Bashar is so weird?
---------------------
First
Second
and third
in the constitution of birds
there shall never be raid
against raid
There
Simply
Shall be
Mutual understanding
----------------------
Yet I see
Life looks, times,
Full of hope
Suddenly
It turned to be so weird
---------------------------------------------------
Blame me not
then
If I break the bars of your party Cage
I am an ancient Syrian bird
Who never got old
Who will never age
Who has to keep up
flying
in the air
------------------------
Up there
In the air
I will not forget you sire
I will never forgive you sire
I will wave my right
Or left wing
Saying:
Bye bye
Sire
To you
To your mentality
To your party
To your family
To your cage
and
to the previous
Unpleasant age
I will rise up
While you sink
Down there
-----------------
I will never ask:
why I have been shut down?
I have a value to share
Why you have made me mute
------------
I will never ask why
I will just fly
Up there in the air
I am definite
I will discover:
Why?

SYRIA'S OWN BLOODLETTING

the true depths of understanding
takes an abyss of strength
to swim one's heart to
man sees only with his
short sighted man's eyes
thinks with but his man's small brain
as horrendous as such sights are
to watch unfold
I say view the happenings with
spiritual eyes
men and women are fighting and dying
for their God Given rights
one cannot close again this cage door
you speak of my friend
the door stands too wide open now
littered with the blood and bodies of
those who refused to give up
the only way out is through that
forced open door
forced open by them
burning with military wrath
against the bitter determination of the oppressed
individuals who long for something more
hate not those who do the evil things they do
pity them as their reign will always be short lived
as they stupidly fight on the wrong side of history
God works his greatness through every darkness
and misery endured by his fragile sons of man
the world is watching
those oppressors do not have the might to win
transition is on the move
too many steps have been courageously taken forward
by a people who refuse to lose
the masses hold the advantage even as the oppressors
and their military clamp down harder upon their throats
evil never long prevails
many will certainly die
but far more many will win
if they but fight with faith and for each other
with their love's most determined grit
that is when God steps in
and grants them keys to the gates of their
very own promised freedom
for that which is worth dying for
is the greatest weapon against sin
man's determination to fight to be free
of his earthly chains
and to provide a better life for his children
and their children 's children
you just wait
beauty will rise from this awful firestorm
the oppressors now wage
for even as they appear to the eyes of
the world to be winning
deep down still they know in their own souls
they are really losing
their dignity,
their standing in the world
their personal grace
their credibility at face value even
many weeks ago
was trampled into disrepair
never to return again
the people shall be free
and the oppressors
shall be ousted
mark my words
and if you don't believe me
cast your eyes back on many a time
in man's history
the oppressors cannot hold their breath
for much longer in Syria
for the too many who want to be free
out number those who wish to keep them down
as ancient a struggle as this is
surely the rest of the world can see it for what it is
even if Syria does not
it is but 'Syria's Own Bloodletting'
and intellectually speaking we know
what the outcome of such a medieval procedure
denotes
the people of Syria have more blood in them combined
than all the military and their dictator combined................

this was my reaction to your poem so full of anger. I always try to see the bigger picture and I am always on the side of the people fighting for what is rightfully theirs. Leave the judgment of those brutal ruler's and their dominion's lives to God I say and just stand with and pray for the brave every day men and women who are dying in droves fighting and protesting peacefully for what they believe in. Thank you for sending this link to me to read. You always inspire me to write. Sincerely your friend in all things poetic, Melissa
