With love and compassion

Yet, I find myself in need

Of some of that myself

Though I care not

To be selfish

I have to give it

To me as well

To know you are surrounded with love and still find yourself blocking the reception of it. Why, because still, somewhere inside is a hurt little girl that doesn't believe she deserves it.

Chartity is given

and its value determined later.

Compassion is felt

and is a reward

that endures.
