                      I open my eyes

                         look up

                   "The Moon", I whisper

                       standing now

                          I bow

                       Ilumination

                glowing in pale white light

                         I smile

                     I bow once more

                        moving on

                      Moon is gone.

                    

Author's Notes/Comments: 

i wrote this when the full moon was shinning on me from my window. to me it is giving respect to the moon because in wicca, (and yes i am a witch), it is a goddess, luna, and she must be respected and cherished.

No one had critiqued this little gem, so I decided that I should. To begin, it's awesome that you're Wiccan. That's always interested me a lot.

Anyway, despite its being short, it's very beautiful. The way you parsed your description of the moon was elegant and should certainly be considered respectable. It seems that you even wrote it with some postmodern prose incorporated. I liked that quite a bit.
