How Long Do You Wait

Folder:
IRAQ War II

How long do you wait?

Until the enemy is at your gate?

How long do you wait?

Until your people they subjugate.

How long do you wait?

To raise the flag of war,

Until your enemy is pounding on your door?

How long do you wait?

Until their boot is on your neck,

Then it is too late.

Throughout the history of the earth

Freedom was bought with the blood of

those that knew what freedom was worth.

Like it or not freedom and peace come at a high price

A lesson of world wars that came twice.

So when the time comes, let the flag of war wave,

Or accept the peace of the grave.

How long do you wait?

Author's Notes/Comments:

War is the most inhumane thing that man does to man, but when it becomes self evident that a leader or nation that has a track record of violence against his neighbor refuses to live up their obligations to disarm, the choice is clear...you don't wait for them to acquire the means of your distruction.  Like a cancer it will not be contained, it must be eliminated.

Huck,
What very powerful piece explaining what this is all about. Sometimes it takes a lesson before people understand we are not going to put up with people doing this to our country or another. What a picture you have painted here for others to see.
Thank you for directing me here.
Peace and Love

QUESTION: : How many pacifists does it take to win a war, and bring true Peace to the entire planet??
ANSWER: : None at all!! I honor their devotion, really, but they do NOT save lives nor bring Liberty to anyone, not even by their own death. Don't these "useful idiots" (Stalin's name for the pacifists and press-reporters) realize that the THREAT of war is the first act of peacemaking, after the tyrants have murdered enough humans and Liberty itself, that he cannot be allowed to live longer?? At that time, the threat turns into reality, and is the nightmare of all tyrants. War is Peace's dreams come true, and only a free man who has shed blood is qualified to protest it. I haven't seen too many veterans in the protest lines, have you?? Excellent thoughts, Huck. TEDDY
