I Wish I had a Cell Phone

Still got your picture on my windowsill;

You can decide for yourself what that means.

And my phonebill has never been cheaper;

no long-distance calls to New Hampshire.

You always knew how to save me some money.

Now i've got Friday nights to do whatever I want to.

Saturdays are always free.

And my calendar's never been clearer, without you

penciled next to me.

I guess these are the perks of saying goodbye.

I just wish that I could call you.

No more arched backs lying in my bed,

no phonecalls echoing in my head

ringing and ringing and ringing and...

All these rolls of film i never developed,

the lyrics on the stereo, putting me through hell and

the nights i'd drive by your house just to see if you were sleeping, or dreaming, or singing

"Carry This Picture," or "Swiss Army Romance,"

Jimmy Eat World

Or all those Ben Kweller songs we used to sing,

like "Sha Sha"

I always wish I could write like that...I need to get back into it..somehow I lost myself when Erik and I started dating and then broke up... I havn't written since forever. I miss it, or miss you...I think both.

Now you have a cell and I don't for now cuz it broke but when it gets fixed....call me.

this is my email to you..hope you get it.

always,
steph
