Star Child

No one wants her

and so shes here

shimmering from above

with jet black hair

She cant reach the world

since they wont hold her.

She cries a lot of tears

enough tears to make her star.

And so shes here

in peoples wishes

A star that shimmers

with a glisten of tears

Shes a starchild

and here she sits

on a floating planet

so far, far away

Nothing but blackness

and her mind.

Past haunting memories

Wont they go away?

A tear for every wish

that she made for herself

but now they have gone

a gem lost inside her heart

Where are those dreams,

she once had?

Shes a star child

and here she lies

her life before her

her senses so far, far away

And in the sky

the star flickers

And dies

But there are a million of other

stars in the sky....

Amazing how the poem is so sad, yet the final lines turn it completely toward hope . . .
