A SONS LOSS

I have a dear friend

his mom just passed away

heart breaking news to hear

I can't think of any words to say

mother's and their sons

a bond like no other

making memories with a family

fun for all the sisters and brothers

a son holds his mom

in the highest regard

knowing one day she will leave

and that experience will be hard

this is for you

my dear friend from Aussie land

I know deep in my heart

your mom's entrance to heaven was grand

She's in a magnificent place now

one with no pain or sorrow

she can now see you all the time

never having to wait till tomorrow

when your time comes

she'll be there for you

you'll rush to happily greet her

finally losing that feeling of blue

Author's Notes/Comments:

I am with you in spirit....

you are in my thoughts and prayers....

This is a lovely poem. I lost my Dad 2 years ago and I'm dreading the day my mum goes. No matter how old she is it will be to soon when it happens. Your poem has reminded me of that fact. Beautifully written with feeling
