The Unsung Heroes by Hannah Ang

They have already died a million times

They have already sacrificed too much

Without recognition

Without hesitation

They do not complain

Because they can bear with the pain

No one will ever know their names

They won't ever get their fame

And we are to blame

For we overlook their work

And ignore their contributions

I guess it's time

To cast aside our crime

Heros & heroines

To those who have fallen so that we may stand,

from what ever county for what ever land.

You payed in blood and recieved nowt but tears,

forgotten through time and passing years.

Your bodies sundered and your names unrecalled,

may you pass the gates of valhalla as one of there fold.

this is not the end, this is not the begining of the end, this is merely the end of the begining.

Any Way We Can Say Thanks

Perhaps less a crime than neglect - life is so demanding and distracting, we take for granted the thanks due those who keep us alive without the fears of the world (mostly). Good theme - vets and their destinies - Stella
