What a beautiful morning!
That sends sunrise aglowing
of ember bouquet of rays
its light to the calm sea radiates.

It seeps through the valley
of gray bands of morning glory.
It nestles on rocky banks
where boulders shield the land
from mighty waves of tide
on days ferocious winds contrive.

An early morning sea breeze
is my seaman cold sweet breathe;
He's puffing pipeless smoke
while jostling with his boat.

He's ready to truckle to the demands
of the sea, while he commands
the sail, a strong wind intervenes;
He hurls his potent force in vain
for all he can sustain;
Till the wind hushes, he then sails away!

Bon voyage to you beloved
A sad adieu to you I bid.
May you take sweet memories of me.
When your journey ends, please return to me.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Note: The picture above was taken at Quarantine Bay during my first Fishing Day trip on a rough weather in Sapphire Coast of Eden. It was early morning. While it looked serene and tranquil on this part, the other side was the fishermen hub where the jetty was and people were busy minding to get ready for their task of the day, that was, fishing. It was a bad day as AK Best said, "The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad." (March 2011)
