Everyday is Mother’s Day for me.

My mother has a special place in my heart.

I appreciate her in so many ways

For all the things, she has done for me.



She brings me out into this world.

She cares for me; she nurtures me

With love that no other can give;

She teaches me; she shows me how to live

With patience over the growing years;



She guides me; she watches over me

With the light of truth, that shields me from harm.

She nurses my wounds; she kisses my pains away;

She keeps vigil when I am ill until I am well.

She covers me with her mantle of peace and joy.



She takes her sense of duty with pride

As a wife, as a mother and as a citizen;

Her virtues surpass her practical wisdom.

Her knowledge comes from the Bible of old;

For what Proverbs 31 says of all mothers.

She brings that out in her and so she shines

Like a torch that beams bright in the darkest night.



I am proud to uphold her memory

It is a privilege to behold her, a dear mother of mine.
