My Childhood Refuge

Boulders in stonestep tiles

rocks upon rocks

and sheltered rails;

stone upon stone

and peebles' cracks,

pinions with light

my lover's lane.

Doom, gloom, days of sorrows

filled with angst under heaven's curse

Life's unfair

but duty's glare

tears cascading streams

down my lover's lane.

Current sweeps a gushing tide

between cracks of boulders' sides

Torrents plight of wind asides

murmurings of silent pain in stride

deep blue amidst the rippling sight

sweetly glistens in sheer delight

down my lover's lane inflight.
