Nature at Work

Nature/Environment

She speaks like thunder

In the midst of swirling winds

She whispers through the breeze

O'er rustling leaves in the glebe

She murmurs constantly

In the fine wavelets of the sea.

She sends ripples to the run away stream

Making it sing gurgling notes to the brim

While cavorting with pebbles and rocks and stones

She harmonizes along, with her soulful crooning horn.

She causes the oceans, rivers and seas

To rise above and to run low

She stirs them to bellow

When her wrath consumes either night or day.

She rides on the wind

Her chariots gallop like whirlwind

Thunders bark; lightning sparks

At every skid and friction of her veins.

She sits on the clouds

And commands them to spray

The dry grounds of the earth

She scatters them to the four corners

She blows them away

When doom and gloom betray

And pleads them to brighten the day.

She sprinkles dust of stars in the sky

Diamonds glitter and light the darkling nights

She smiles behind the moon

Her beams soothe the weary mortal blues

She filters dash of euphoric scents into the air

That perfume all of humans' flair.

She climbs the highest mountain

And let it spew with fumes

She slips down in the valley

Flying trapeze in the cascading waterfall.

She rolls downward to the foot of the hills

And gather thorns and thistles

She hides in retreat to the forest

Where her treasures lay beneath its dome.
