I did my best to keep you around

but when I opened my eyes you were nowhere to be found

In the darkness silence loomed

and that is when I knew that I was doomed



I tried my best to love you

but the feelings were never returned

I did my best to keep you

Awaiting your arrival in an empty room



I let you go in hope

That  you would find a way back to my arms

becase all I wanted was to love you

and to keep you safe from any harm



I did my best to give you everything you wanted

but in the end you did not even want me

I tried to understand why

but the why I could never seee



I tried my best to love you unconditionally

but yoru love was not returned at all

I kept waiting in that empty room

Hoping that you would eventually call
