I put your love on a pedestal

For everyone to see

I would have been there to catch you should you fall

and all I wanted in return was for you to love me



I wore your love on my sleeve

because I wanted the world to know

In our love I strongly did believe

and I thought it could take us anywhere we wanted to go



I wrote it in my songs

That our love was true

and when I sang the lyrics

You knew that you didn't have to feel sad or blue



I said it to your face,

that I was so in love with you

No-one on Earth could ever replace

These things that I feel inside, so true



I put your love on a pedestal
