You never said I love you

So I was never sure

I searched for love unconditional

Yet still so gentle and so pure



I wanted to hear you say those words to me

But I kept waiting so patiently

TIme went on and it got harder to go on

Days without you could not have been more wrong



I waited for the words in hope

That someday they would be true

But alas I live loveless

because I have to go on without you



Darkened skies have found me

Running towards the flame

Wishing for old memories

but nothing beats the same



Rain falls from the clouds

Like tears fall from my eyes

I keep waiting to hear I love you

but still I wait with lies



You have not said I love you

So I am still not sure

Waiting for love so magical

Yet simply beautiful and pure
