I didn’t leave because I didn’t love you

I left because it would have been wrong to stay

Things were becoming so awkward

And we had to fix it somehow, someway

I didn’t say goodbye to you

I said see you later, next time

Forever is what I promised, and to that I will always stay true

So just remember that, and know I wasn’t lying



I didn’t leave you because I didn’t care

I left because it seemed to be what was right

I still think about the time we shared

And still dream of when we’ll share together another night

I didn’t say the word, I didn’t tell you goodbye

I said I will see you later, as soon as I can

So there is no need for you to feel sad or to cry

I promise that we’ll be together again with all that I am



I didn’t leave you because my feelings changed

I left because we needed a break

My feelings are still as strong as they ever were

But we had to take the time apart for our own sake

I did not tell you goodbye and I never would

I said I will see you again sometime, when the timing seems good

So don’t feel down, and don’t you dare cry

Because this is not the end for us, this is not goodbye
