You and I were doing good it seemed,

We were happy together

I saw your smiles,

They felt real to me

So where did everything go wrong?

What made you choose her

Without any given explanation?

I let you inside,

Showed you things that no one else has ever seen

I trusted you

Thought we   were perfect together

You said we were

What happened?

Where did I fall short?

What point did you decide you couldn’t be with me?

Were you ever going to let me know,

Or just let me wonder forever?

The signs aren’t hard to miss

How you flashed around your feelings for her

But I was always a secret

Were you that ashamed?

I know I am not the best,

But I deserve more than that

I thought you were different

But you were exactly the same
