Once we had the world



We held it in our hands



Once I was your girl



By your side I would always stand









Things change with time, you see



People grow apart



The wind blows in a new direction



and all thats left are two broken hearts









We had made it so far



Fought through all the obstacles



Climbed to the farthest star



If we got that far, then how did we get here,



Back to where we started, so far apart and so alone









Even in times that seemed the odds were against us,



We held on, held hope for eternal bliss



But each day as I open my eyes to find you are not there..



I am finding myself farther from us, and finding it harder to care









I would never want to lose you



I would fight to my death just to keep you in my life



Never would I have said goodbye



To live without you, I would rather die
