I remember your face in the distance

Like it was a dream

I remember a tear fell silently

Didn’t know who was to blame



I saw the pain as I looked into your eyes

I cant forget the painful sighs

You were there lying lifeless reaching out for my hand

Asking for me to help you, to help you stand



I reached out my hand to help you

You got up and thanked me for being there

Taking my hand, I wiped the tears away from your eyes

and you took your hands in mine
