Never would I have imagined

One day in my life without you

You loved me when no one else would

Who knew it would fall apart so fast

I thought what we had was strong

I thought forever it could last

But as the night goes on

and as my heart shatters

All I hear is the silence

Saying nothing more matters

The silence is deadly

It drowns out my thoughts

Making me loathe myself

For all I am not

Day after day

I feel more alone

I feel like a ghost

Walking numbly through my home

and now that it is over

I have nothing left

Except to say goodbye
