In a perfect world, there would be no circumstance

There would be no long-distant romance

There would be just you and me,

Hand in hand, arms linked together

Dancing under the stars, in the moonlight forever



In a perfect world,  

You would still love me,we would be perfect for each other

We would be so meant to be

There would be no doubt, no reason to run and hide

There would be no need to ever cry



In a perfect world,

You never would have to say goodbye to me or to us

You would have been so strong,

Holding on for the long run

You would have not simply given up

Because of the loneliness that you felt

You would have realized I was hurting too



In a perfect world,

You would have not left me lonely

but it is not a perfect world,

so I must let go

and say goodbye forever to you
