That you would always be there for me
and although you say those words,
It is still so hard for me to believe
Do I trust that you are being honest
and then end up getting hurt
It is a hard lesson to learn
When you are still the one who puts your hand in the fire, not thinking that you will get burned
We have known each other a lifetime it seems,
You are the one who always pops up in my dreams
but I still have a hard time believing anything you say
but in the end it is a wait and see if things will go our way
You have told me not to worry, that everything will be fine
but before you those were only lines
I would love to trust and believe you
but I still need time before I do
You have told me a million times
That you would always be there for me
