If Only...

If only you knew how my days aren’t always sunny,

when yours are grey.

If only you knew that your pain was hurting me too.

If only you knew how many prayers I’ve prayed and tears I’ve cried because of you.

If only you knew that you were pushing me away

with every hurtful thing you say.

If only you knew your worlds not the only one falling apart.

If only you knew that those troubles you’re going through

are breaking my heart.

If only you knew how I wish your days of grey

would change turn bright blue.

If only you knew how every day

I thank the Lord for you.

If only you knew how much God has in store sore you.

If only you knew how wide his arms are open for you.

If only you knew that he could help you get through

all that pain and hurt your going through.

If only you knew what he thinks of you.

If only you knew how much he really loves you.

If only you knew of the path

that was paved for you.

If only you knew of the light that shines in you.

If only you knew that he put that light in you.

If only you knew that he is the mender of wounds.

If only you knew that he sees and feels

what you’re going through.

If only you knew of all the promises he has for you.

If only you knew how proud he is of you.

If only you knew of the great plans that he has in store for you.

If only you knew how he smiles at you.

If only you knew of his peace

and the joy that it brings.

If only you knew of the rest that you would find in him.

If only you knew of the place in heaven

he made just for you.

If only you knew why he died on the cross,

 instead of you.

If only you knew that Jesus is the only one,

who can truly fix you.

If only you knew.

Jesus Fixes Those...

who fix themselves. We have the gifts of belief and heaven's promise to heal ourselves - Waiting is not a human trait except for keeping you out of trouble. Engage, live, decide. This kind of godliness has worked well for me for 63 years. "Just tryin' to make Heaven ma home!" - Love and Prayers ~Allets~

ps. the repetition added little, the meat of the poetry follows the repetition phrase - message overpowers all device, style, and method in the write, but the exploration of the power of words is not the point is it? Didacticism was the goal and the end. ~a~
