All colours gone, only the grey.
The face,
in the cold light of day.

Down off that hill.
To the rows of the dead,

The face,
in the cold light of day.

Author's Notes/Comments:

Col. H Jones 2 Para 1982.
I saw him before, and during the battle for Darwin Hill.I helped to carry his body down to the RAP at the rear of Darwin Hill.
It's how I remember him.

Interesting... A nice idea, but a little unclear to what it is talking about. It could be the holocaust, a war, it could be about a lover, a friend, a horse... Interesting.
