A Small World

Folder:
Thoughts on Life

A grain of sand

Among many

Held in the palm

Of a vacationer

On a expansive beach

The sun heats

The sand particles

That reflect onto

The tourist’s skin

And cause sunburn

The sun circles

Around the earth

Until nighttime

When a single star

Looks on the scene

He shines a smile

Sparkling with glee

Lighting the face

Of the small boy

With tanned skin
