WHAT I REALLY WANTED
What I really wanted
was too deep, too complex
for the singular mind
and in ensuing
madness came
5 or 6 seconds
of clarity
then the good snake
rattled its tail
and spat bloody
venom at me
unknown incentive
I was tempted
to quit again

The "good" snake's venom would not dampen the endeavors, it was the constancy that demanded rebuilding.
