Dock Ellis always claimed

that he was tripping on LSD

when he threw his no-hitter

and I’m not really

sure what I believe

I can actually see

what he’s saying though

I can remember 

climbing mountains

while tripping on acid

and you can really 

tune into the activity

You kinda zone in

on where you are

and what you’re doing

and how you’re surviving

People that never

took acid

can’t understand that

cuz they don’t have

the experience

but that’s okay

it’s just the way it goes

and you learn

to live with it

get in the zone

they tell you

just don’t fail

the urine test

they’ll make you take

sometime down the road
