I want you to know that if I were to leave

I’d always still be in your heart

If I were to die or to move away

We’d still never, ever part.



I want you to know that you’re my best friend

Though I may sometimes get mad

I will love you always, me friend, my Scott

Because you always somehow make me glad



I want you to know that I feel very lucky

To have someone like you to care about me

I sometimes feel less than perfect

And, with our friendship, less than worthy



But I want you to know that I am here

Whether right down the road or in your heart

And nothing, not even our arguments,

Will ever keep us apart.
