Childhood Gone

Folder:
Me

Once a life full of innocence

And yet it's somehow slipped away

She cannot face the future

The past's cloudy and gray

Just wanting to be alone

Her sob echoes in her soul

Body abused and violeted

No chance to feel whole

A predator had been unleashed

She'll never forget his face

But a child - without defence

And left no sacred space

She tries to pick up the shards

Of her forgotten life

But gets cut and bleeds

Because of the world's strife

So little and so scared

Her childhood long gone

Replaced with an emptiness

And a hatred growing strong.

I can relate to that... In a way. I liked it, though it was sad.
