Closed Book

Folder:
Relationships/Love

I'm a closed book that even I cannot read

And yet you seem to see right through me

You think you know all that goes through my head

But I know that couldn't possibly be.

You've memorized all my favorite things

But know nothing about who I really am

You do not know what makes my heart sing

You probably don't even give a damn.

I know you'll rip out my pages one by one

As soon as you find the lock's key

Perhaps for you it will be fun

To ruin the book that was once me.

Author's Notes/Comments:

You know.. I don't like this. I'm going to redo it soon. 2006

I really liked the last line for some reason...

It's acctually a very decent peice of writing. Instead of changing it, you should leave this one here and redo it; posting it as a new poem called "Closed Book [edited]* or something of the sort, so that people can see how you've changed the poem and how it got better. :D

I like it, very cool. I like the last four lines the most.
