A Godly Friend
When you laugh, I hear the child in you
It reminds me that we can laugh like kids
We can giggle and have a good time
We don't have to slur our words and sway side to side
Just to laugh and be kids again
So many have ps4's and those new Xbox games
They build on mine craft, sword fight a demon or two
But you build with Legos and make your own sword
technology is taking away from the good old fashion games we all use to play
Maybe one day we'll play "Red Rover" just to be a kid again
You remind us that we can still be adults and have fun like kids
Your smile and laughter brings joy to those around you
A friend like you, is who everyone should have
You always offer to help anyone in need
Even when we're down, you offer to cheer them up
To bend a broken friendship, you listen to both sides
You look to the good in people
Even when someone is being cruel towards you
You my bestie have a beautiful heart
That I hope you always keep
Don't lose sight of the beautiful life that so many wish they could do
As I look back, I'm grateful to have you in my life
