broken and lost in this world she knows

feeling lonely and alone wherever she goes

hurting so much inside her shattered heart

so many times it has been ripped apart

hearing and seeing things no one else does

and when she wakes up all she sees is fuzz

and she is so scared as she takes each step

she hesitates every time it's time to take a breath

but she still lives the best she can

she still reaches out her helping hand

her heart still sings a beautiful song

and she still keeps herself strong

she still keeps the faith in God above

her heart is still full of lots of love

and without shoes she walks for miles

but through it all she still smiles



it takes so much to get through one day

she wishes someone would take the pain away

she whispers to God in the darkness of the night

she asks him to help her win this internal fight

it's hard for her to talk through the voices she hears

it's hard for her to smile through all of the hurting tears

she feels so much fear that it eats her up inside

but she always knows that God is there by her side
