you were torchured, you were beat

nails were pierced in your hands and feet

am I to blame, should I feel guilty

cause I know that you died to save me

you were stretched out on a cross

to save a world that was almost lost

now the only thing that dies is death itself

cause that day you bleed us a new life

and everything you went through and felt

it was worth all of the pain and strife

and now I am on my knees to say thank you

for taking us from the darkness and into your light

you corrected the world and made everything brand new

and that day was the day you bleed the world to life



you were insulted, you were forsaken

deep inside your heart was breaking

was I a tear that fell from your eyes

was I a reason for your hurting cries

you were mocked for who you were

there was so much pain you had to endure
