What makes a man

A man?



What should I be?

Can you give me a definition

Do you have an answer?

Should I use my womans intuition?



To be a good woman

What the hell should I do?

Stop speaking my mind

Get no justice where it's due?



Earn lower wages?

Be quiet and meek?

Ask your permission

Now may I speak?



Should I be shy

Because all women are

Should I keep my mouth shut

Will that get me far?



Can't I be strong

Have independence

Get far in the world

Without your resentments?



To be a man

What should I do?



Should I be loud

Keep feelings to myself?

Solve my own problems

Ask for no help?



I don't need directions

I know my way there

Men have no feelings

They never care



I have to be strong

Can never be weak

I am the protector

I'm savy and sheek



I burp when I want to

I scratch where I can

And these are the things

That make me a man



How can one have

Such uninformed views

Have you opened a paper

Or clicked on the news



It's okay for a woman

To have an opinion

Okay for a man

To be feminine



I know what I am

And I Don't care what you say

I know my place

And I know I'm okay
