in a frame beside a star

im wondering what you're thinking

im wondering where you are

"smile for me daddy"

i asked of you at dinner

look, you seem so happy

fake smiles hide a sinner

you always win the games that you play

the ones you pick and choose

but ill tell you, in the long run

i think you're gonna lose

shes told you once, shes told you twice,

shes said it a million times

pack your bags, take everything

but leave the kids behind

and now i know the ugly truth

you lie, you cheat, you sin

and now you see the ugly truth

this game, you cannot win

so daddy would you leave me?
