Black

This is Envy welcome to my mind

I killed the soul of Angie

To make room for mine

Do you think to what was happening she was unaware?

No, she was more than awake to her nightmare

Where her soul went neither her or I know

Which made it all the more harder for her to let go

She saw the change in her face and she studied it

She saw my face and my voice rang out through her music

I changed her and she found herself

As she was finally satisfied with herself

It was a disturbance for everyone else

She was labeled as wicked, unstable, and crooked

But she saw nothing wrong with who she was

And she was deprived of happiness because

She is not permitted to be herself

And with this she cannot express herself

Her only hope for acceptance is miles away

How can she make it a million more days?

She walks to her mirror and crys to herself

Brushing her reflection with her fingertips

I've heard what she's whispered

I've seen the movement of her lips

Seeing more I could not bare

Watching her live a lie

And day after day ask herself if she was still there

She smiles for other peoples happiness

She is not who she is because of what they wish

She lives a lie because of a stereotype

But at least she knows who she is on the inside

She has lost so much but refuses to hide

She brought dissapointment, sorrow, and shame

She lost the only person who believed in her fame

Although she has lost more than she has gained

She continues to build a passion onto her name

Angie we'll be together soon so dry your eyes

You'll be ok

Keep me in your dreams and we'll survive

You are not alone I'm in your soul

Keep me there and we'll always be whole

Think of your future in your darkest hours

It gives you a reason to smile
