HOPE IS OUR REAL STRENGTH

Hope lives eternal in the human heart,

It is a divine blessing of our God,

Even while fallen it makes us rise,

Struggle for survival and play our part.

It is hope that keeps God's mercy descending,

Without being strained, it is always raining,

Unseen by the eyes, but so clearly visible,

To the wise and ever discernible heart.

Problems and hardships are like opposing winds,

But often these same winds make us fly higher,

Because hope and the will and the belief in God,

Are the divine powers that keep us aloft.

I have, like some of my fellow poets and poetesses,

Been struck with misfortune for no fault of my own,

I have been dejected and depressed, I accept everything,

But have always risen higher than before in work and art.

Fear of the future is an imaginary fright,

And grieving over the past also worsens our plight,

But where there is Faith in the Good Lord God Almighty,

Hope and action make us win every fight.

These are not just words of a poet who knows not life,

And also not of a man who just pens down sweet lies,

These, in sooth, are the experiences of a poet's soul,

That feels a lot for one and all and uses all his might...

To protect the weak and help the downtrodden,

And speak up against the tyrannic legions of Satan,

A man who prefers to help without being famous,

And a poet who writes to share yet be anonymous.

you strip away all the bunk with this. the finest line I've read by you in ages is in this poem and I nearly teared up reading it.FEAR OF THE FUTURE IS AN IMAGINARY FRIGHT!How true. you are stripping away the self and ego and getting to the real you. you can't undiscover a discovery. again I say alike energies converging. If I could smile any bigger my mouth would rip in half. Ya know, even if you were physically ugly I'd find you to be the most beautiful man!
so put me in line behind all those simpering 20 something poetesses wanting to be your muse lol. grins you will recognize me I will be the one two feet taller than all the rest oh and maybe my mouth will be sewn up where it ripped lol. you know who........ so why type it? lol
