ODE TO MY BELOVED

You are... too beautiful,

So simple yet so charming,

Your voice is so ethereal,

That nightingales gather,

To hear you, singing.

When the souls were in heaven,

At that time I chose you,

How can I move an inch,

A step forward, without you.

The years may have dulled me,

Time may have affected,

The outward appearance,

But not the inner me.

No spell could make us part,

Even though the world tried,

Looked like going apart,

But then God replied.

He brought us together,

To keep us one forever,

Always... side by side.

Oh my, it seems in all my meticulous unearthing I missed a poem about a very special and particular someone. This is so lovingly lovely but I do believe you will agree things have changed a teensy tiny tad since then. Still, time does not take away from the stunning beauty of those feelings long ago that once were. But for the date, such poem reads to me as one you most recently penned, not the words so much as the exact meter of deep feeling and firm, timeless belief. That is what made me smile. That you can write a love poem for another woman years passed and make this woman cry at the beauty of the feelings expressed. Just three words for that Sir Poet! Gawd! You're Good! smiles
you know who!......... so why type it?
