THE PIT OF FALL*

There was a time,

When I struggled with fate,

In a bid to rewrite a line.

Then I realized it was too late,

That it was futile,

To attempt revisions.

It is better to accept,

And reconcile:

For, what is destined will happen.

However, they say, there is a key,

Which unlocks the door to heaven,

And makes what we wish, to happen.

That some soul's prayer becomes a pen,

That revises a line of a destined rhyme.

That the reward of good is but good,

And nothing is unjust in the Maker's book.

Faith and good deeds shape our end:

What we receive is what we send,

To shape our karma in the cosmic pattern.

Yet this cycle of destiny is forgotten

By those who are trapped in the Pit of Fall*

TRAPS OF FATE

a trap of such sweet poignancy
you so carefully lay
whittled down as it were
to a particular fear's flurry
heaven holds council
I truly believe
with souls of selfless ascent
and pallbearers become we
to each our actions' event
but at pivotal points
God mercifully allows
man enough lunge line
to alter traps
he for himself
before so ignorantly set
though such beauty
amid great visions in
overly clouded human minds
his bull headed perseverance
can sometimes foolishly circumvent
caterers of self correction though
we must evolve so to absorb and
sagely emulate
strange mirrors we encounter
through fellow souls
in their own many levels of
spiritual deprivation
and in the damaged panic rooms
of our ego terrified prior experiences
hard line Evangelicals, Rabbis and Mullahs
emerge brandishing their hate fueled
fiery words
we rise in ourselves and or fall back
to conquer or be defeated by
the harsh illusions of this world
that seem oh so real
and in our agony of repetitious thought
in those moments God shows us
the equity of our own self created Hell
and to think those who choose to hate
so tirelessly much
lose precious footholds on their
fraudulent forms of faith
by blindly practicing edicts
reflecting Lucifer's own arrogant fate.....................

I'm very glad I found someone who writes about Karma. I believe in it, and in reincarnation, too. Please critique mine. I wrote two poems: one about karma, and the other, reincarnation. Just go to my portfolio (the webpage stated).
