Don't say your sorry.

Don't say your sorry.
Don't say those words to me.

If you do,
They will make me angery.

I appricate your sincerity,
But I don't want your simpathy.

Don't say your sorry.

Save those words for
Another day,

For a moment where you do something you regret,
Or say something you didn't mean.

Dont waste your apologies on me.

It's not your fault or your problem,
For the things that have gone wrong,
For the childhood years that are long gone,
For the pain and fear iv felt for many years,
And for many more to come.

It's not your fault or your problem,
For the tears cried,
For the bad dreams and sleepless nights,
For the hate that resides in my eyes,
For the pain iv hid inside.

So don't say your sorry.
It's not your fault or problem,
You werent the cause of it.
I'm not sorry it happened,
Cause iv made the best of it.
Today, I am stronger then yesturday,
Then I was years ago today.

So because of that I say,
Please don't say your sorry.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is what I tell people, the ones that truely know me that is. That know of my past, and have heard the story's. Dont say your sorry, it's not your fault or problem.
You didn't cause it, so you have no part in the blame or shame.

Don't say your sorry.

Wow, You know what?

It's pretty good girlie! And the thing is, when people hear about things that the ones they love have gone through, it's really hard not to tell them how you are sorry that you didn't know about it, that you couldn't stop it, that you are sorry that it happened. At least, that's how it is with me, personally.

A powerful message here. :)

indeed

it makes me think of all those times i share myself with someone who replies by saying 'i'm sorry' or they try to fix me... if it's one thing that i have learned about people it's that you can only take charge over yourself. people who try to forcefully try to change you are really only trying to change themselves --- a painful relationship taught me that, great work elfy I really like your style!
