You and I

You like the light, but I like the dark

You like together, but I like apart

You like the sunshine, I like the rain

You live for pleasure, I'd die for pain

You hate the emptyness, I love the void

Loneliness scares you, for me it's a joy

You love your mirrors, I hate my reflection

You like the chaos, but I like perfection

You love pure happiness, I hate emotions

You like to swim, but I hate the ocean

You crave the silence, I can't stand the noise

You're good for the girls, I'm bad for the boys

You hate to take risks, I love the danger

Your life is bliss, while I live with anger

You like things whole, I like things broken

Your door never closes, mine never opens

You keep things simple, I make things hard

You're always trusting what I can't throw far

You've got the good looks, I'm not that pretty

You've never thrown punches, but I like to hit things

You hate to imagine, I hate what's real

You'd give your heart, I'm still scared to feel

You think you can love me, I think you won't

If you think you know me, then I'm sure you don't

You never lose and I never win

But if you take my hand I might just let you in

You hate to make promises, I never keep them

But if you say 'forever', then I might believe it

You say that our differences make me the one

I say that you've got me from this moment on
