* The wonders of the world

Folder:
2002

Rain falls

an echo of my grief -

but nothing is quite like the pain

threatening to drown me.

The fact that I am here

walking

- drenched but walking -

is a small miracle in itself.

And yet the true wonder is that

as I see a small dog walk past

wearing a blue raincoat,

I can still laugh.
