The Leaden Rule
I know you’ve heard it
At least once while you
Were growing up; the
Golden rule: treat others as
You wish to be treated.
Seems like this rule isn’t
Remembered after we leave
Grade school, after that
Society teaches you survivial
Of the fittest and that an
Act of kindness is more an
Act of stupidity. Eventually
And so naturally we teach
Ourself the leaden rule:
Treat others as they treat
Me. Considering the world
Around us, no wonder we
Feel like it’s going to Hell.
If we are to continue
This dog eat dog, selfish
Only lookin’ out for number
One and that’s me attitude;
The leaden rule will sink
The society it has created.
Some do, many dont its a each
Some do, many dont its a each man for himself mentality
You inky live once. Me im a Christian so i live more than once. I try but man some assholes desrve the same treatment they give. But mostly i let other assholes teach other assholes. I try to make the people around me have something better in thier day but true to nature piss me off enough and hell which doesnt exist only evil does hath no fury than I ... maybe im the problem a hypocrite? Some of us stick to the
Some of us stick to the policy of treating others as we wish to be treated. Though we also must treat ourselves as we wish to be treated. At least that's my belief. I thinking I might revise this concept. Hmmm. You made me start thinking! Dangit.
